Q: Why are SamcoSport the market leader?
A: SamcoSport have been the world leader in silicone hoses for over 10 years. We take the finest European Silicones, and manufacture the world’s highest quality hoses by hand, in the UK. Our range of car kits, and race parts is second to none, and every SamcoSport Hose is covered by our unique lifetime warranty. Some cheaper silicone hoses use cheap imported silicones, “cut” with fillers, and leave out important “layers” of the hose to cut costs. They may look similar, but who knows how long they will last. All of our hoses are engineered to give the ultimate performance, and we guarantee they will outlast your engine. Our hoses meet and exceed SAEJ20R1 Class A – the high standard set by the Automotive industry. We supply many of the high end car manufactures such as Koenigsegg, Aston Martin, and more Formula One teams choose SamcoSport than any other hose brand. For more information, see our Hose Explorer “The SamcoSport Difference”.
Q: Can I buy direct from Samco?
A: As manufacturers, we are busy developing new kits and continually improving our products, so we let authorised distributors sell our products around the world. Good distributors will have lots of SamcoSport products in stock, and they will be able to advise you to ensure you get the right hoses onto your car. For distributors click here.
Q: I want to buy a kit but my car isn't listed?
A: If your car isn't listed we currently don't make a kit for it. Check out our vast range of standard race parts – by using elbows, straights, reducers and joiners, it is possible to plumb most cooling and intake systems. Also you can submit a request via our “contact us” page for the kit you would like – we are always developing new car kits, so keep checking our news section, or sign up to our newsletter.
Q: Can you make a special hose for my car?
A: Due to the way the hoses are made we cannot make one off specials. Every hose we make needs a specific tool, so if we haven't got one it costs at least £300.00 to make one. This makes the cost of a one off too expensive. Again, check out our leading range of standard race parts, which includes, elbows, straights, reducers, couplers, joiners – to allow you to create your own custom plumbing.
Q: You don't list my car but I still want Samco's.
A: The only option is to use our range of standard race parts to make up a kit for your car. This range includes elbows, straights, couplings, reducers and more. Our range of Joiners can then be used to connect your hoses.
Q: Can you put any name on the hose?
A: We don't make hoses for anyone else. SamcoSport make the world’s best silicone hoses, if we made hoses for other companies, it would be unclear as to which hoses are SamcoSport's, and which aren’t. Our quality, reliability and guaranteed performance is only available on hoses marked SamcoSport.
Q: Why should I buy silicone hoses?
A: For the best looks and performance it has to be silicone. Silicone hoses operate at much higher temperatures and pressures than other rubbers, they don’t perish, and they look great. If you are tuning your engine and pushing it to its limit, you don’t want your hoses to let you down –that’s why Formula One teams choose SamcoSport.
If you want the best Silicone Hoses, choose SamcoSport.
Q: How should I clean my SamcoSport Hoses?
A: SamcoSport only recommend using hot soapy water to clean your hoses. If you do this regularly, the natural shine will be promoted. DO NOT use petrol or any petroleum based cleaning products (including those labelled as Silicone shine or similar) – whilst these may give a short term shine, over time they discolour the hose.
Q: Got a question about SamcoSport valves?
A: See our specific Valves FAQ page
